Inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, imove explores and celebrates human movement.
imove’s explorers are some of the most exciting artists working in Yorkshire, Humberside and North Lincolnshire. Their celebration is taking place not just in theatres and galleries but on the body of the region itself, on its moors, in its sea, its streets, its pools, its parks and parklands.
imove is celebrating right up until the time of the Games in 2012.
imove explores how we feel in our moving bodies, whether that is in our daily lives going to work, to the shops, to school, achieving our personal best over 26 miles and 385 yards, or making slow painful progress from one side of the room to the other.
David as Director at Dep Arts, is one of the Associate Producers on imove and works within the imove Producer team that has been responsible for commissioning all the imove projects since the project started in 2010.
David is currently working directly on an number of imove projects for 2012 including a community Cycle Opera written by Ian McMillan in Scunthorpe and Also Balbir Singh Dance Company’s Syncrhonised project which combines Kathak and Syncrhonised swimming. Both projects will have performances in the lead up to the Olympic games in the summer of 2012
