Art Of Spectra was created in 1998 by choreographer, dancer, and music composer Peter Svenzon. The company is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Through their work the company strives to explore and cross the boundaries between different art forms such as; Dance, theatre, music, video, and picture art.
Peter’s background as a break-dancer prior to his professional dance education is very evident in his work. His choreography is a hybrid between classical, break, and modern dance. Peter also composes all the music for Art Of Spectra in genres such as electronica, drum ´n’ bass, ambient and hip-hop. A common element of the company’s work is the presence of live musicians on the stage.
Since the start in 1998, Art Of Spectra has produced 19 danceworks. Funded by the Swedish Arts Council and The Cultural Department of Stockholm
