Meet the team
David founded Dep Arts Ltd in 2006, following a ten year career in the arts including working for the RSC, The Lowry and Phoenix Dance Theatre. David is responsible for overseeing all the work of Dep Arts and leads on all of Dep Arts international work. David also takes on the role of Executive Producer for Balbir Singh Dance Company and Company Chameleon, as well as Consultant Producer for Phoenix Dance Theatre and is one of the Associate Producers for I-move, Yorkshire Cultural Olympiad Programme.
Jemma is the company’s Business Director and is responsible for dealing with all the things that make the company work. Jemma deals with all the real world stuff like accountants, HR and contracts.

Phil is responsible for making sure the Dep Arts phones are constantly engaged! Phil is responsible for booking the majority of UK touring activity which Dep undertakes for its artists and companies including Phoenix Dance Theatre, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Company Chameleon, Verve and BSDC. Phil has been with the company since 2009.
Rachael has been with the company since 2010 and is responsible for all the projects that are affiliated with Dep Arts, including: Escalator Dance Producers, Hull Dance, and imove on the Street 2012.
After 6 months as a Producer Intern, Shelley will be taking on the role of Administrator. She has learnt a lot in the past few months and has enjoyed working with different artists. Shelley looks forward to taking on this new position and the responsibilities that come with the role at Dep Arts.
Alison is this year’s Project Management Intern; she will work on a variety of projects including Escalator for Arts Council East and the I-Move Syncro project with Balbir Singh. Alison is looking forward to an extremely exciting year ahead.
Fiona is spending a year with Dep Arts Ltd as part of her Art and Design degree at the University of Leeds and is responsible for designing all promotional material for Dep Arts including flyers, invites and show footage, writing press releases as well as managing the company’s websites and social networking.
Clare has recently joined the team, as Dep Arts new general manager, and is responsible for: fund raising, contracting, financial systems, HR systems and the general strategic direction of the organisation.
